Do you feel the nostalgia? Here we have Bridget Hall. Born on December 12, 1977, she is one of the most well known American figures and models in the fashion industry. Hall was born in Springdale, Arkansas, and grew up in a suburb by the name of Farmers Branch. One might think such a seemingly tiny town would fly under the radar but, thanks to this star, that was not the case.
Shortly after high school, Bridget and her mother, Donna Hall, moved to New York City, in search of living that New York dream. With her gaze aimed directly at a modeling career, it’s safe to say she hit her target. By the age of 18, Hall was signed to Ford Models and was listed in Forbes as one of the “top ten moneymaking supermodels” alongside other huge names such as Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington.
Bridget later went on to sign with IMG Models, 1 Model Management (NYC), and Independent Models (London) – all huge model management firms. She has appeared in the best magazines in the world throughout her career, as both a feature model and a cover model. Publications include everything from Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE, Allure, Sports Illustrated and (obviously) runway back in her heyday. In addition, she’s worked with a variety of clients including Pepsi Cola, GUESS, and Anne Klein to name a few. She’s no stranger to any corner of the fashion industry whether it be photo shoots, runways, or sponsorships.
This specific shoot featuring Hall is from Vogue Russia’s September Issue in 1998. We know, throwback! But how beautiful are these photographs? Truly, we’re obsessed. Everything is so 90’s (in a non-cheesy way). The length of her skirts, the kitten heels, the sleek middle part, dark lips… It really takes us back.
We can’t forget to mention how beautifully Kelly Klein- 50, and ex wife of the Calvin Klein – captured these photographs. In addition, we’ll have to give shout out to Jayne Pickering who styled the shoot impeccably. Both great minds created a simple and minimalist approach while also evoking darkness and even mystery. And, of course, Bridget Hall, who is impeccably stunning – as usual.
