With a fresh year of award’s season, it is inevitable we see fresh looks on the red carpet. The 18th Annual SAG Awards were filled with fashion forward looks, with more do’s than don’ts. Stars that may not of looked their best at this year’s Golden Globes certainly styled on the nose for the SAG Awards. One TV star who’s gown was on point was Glee start Lea Michele in Versace. The actress has been known to wear Marchesa to award shows, including her over the top, just plain too-much gown from this year’s Globes. Michele looked radiant last night in a subtle grey structured gown, donning a slit as high up as prime time television would allow.

Although Marchesa didn’t flatter Ms. Michele at the last awards, the design house does not disappoint for SAG Award Winner Viola Davis or nominee Sofia Vergara who both rocked the red carpet. Davis looked almost angelic in a beautiful, cascading white Marchesa gown with gold embroidery while Vergara’s voluptuous curves were hugged in all the right spots in this magenta Marchesa strapless.

Working the red carpet was also designer Jenny Packham, who dressed both Ashlee Simpson and Angelina Jolie in dark, seductive looks.  Particularly, we love the old Hollywood vibe Simpson rocks with the notes of mesh and rhinestones throughout the eloquently stitched gown. Another stunning and elegant look for the evening comes from Best Actress in a Feature Film Nominee, Michelle Williams.  Her Valentino gown is as classy as it gets with the lace trim and asymmetrical hemline. Subtle yet glamorous from head to toe, we always love the strawberry blonde pixie cut the My Week With Marilyn star has been seen in recently.

The Help‘s Emma Stone rocks this Alexander McQueen T-length dress with a classy up-do, giving her that 50s starlet look that works perfectly for her here. Adoring the almost Cinderella looking Kaley Couco in her gorgeous light hued Romona Keveza organza gown looks ethereal with her golden blonde hair, essentially needs a nod on our list.  Overall, the fashion on the red carpet for the SAG Awards this year deserves it’s own award. Now we must wait until February 26th to get a glimpse at the mother of all award shows (and award show fashion) at the 84th Annual Academy Awards!
