When people ask who are favorite style girls are, Solange Knowles‘ name just seems to roll of the tongue very naturally. This girl is always dressed to impressed and never puts limits on colors, cuts or patterns, but it looks like that’s all going to change.

Knowles covers the June issue of ASOS magazine, and in the glossy she says she’s taking a step back from her well-known style. “I might be having a little evolution in my style,” she said. “It’s been a lot more subtle. I had a bit of print fatigue, it’s been a part of who I am for as long as I can remember. But you want to evolve and experiment — that’s part of the fun and joy of being a woman.”

Amen to that, sister.

But does that mean we won’t be seeing our beloved Solange in bright, springy colors this season? Not to worry, she’s still going bold. On Thursday, the DJ showed up to the Q&Q launch event at Open House Gallery in New York wearing a yellow and white Christopher Kane outfit paired with… wait for it… a lemon-shaped Kate Spade purse!

We’re actually really excited to see Knowles’ style transformation. If history has anything to say about this girl, it’s that she and fashion go together like lamb and tuna fish… perhaps you prefer spaghetti and meatballs?
