Rihanna has officially been named “The World’s Wildest Style Icon” by W Magazine.
Bad Girl RiRi stuns on the glossy’s September issue wearing a Donna Karan New York dress, a Ashley Lloyd headdress and some killer jewelry by Amrapali, Meadowlark and Stephan Dweck. The singer is also donning some serious face makeup in blue and purple hues really bringing the whole “creature of the night” theme together perfectly.
But don’t think this incredible idea was all W Magazine’s work. Oh, no. The 26-year-old came super prepared to be featured in the magazine’s biggest issue. “Rihanna came [to the shoot] with her own mental mood board, channeling the power of Grace Jones and the sophistication of Josephine Baker,” wrote editor-in-chief Stefano Tonchi.

Throughout the entire spread, Rihanna looks incredible with elaborate makeup and wow-worthy outfits from Michael Kors, Alexander McQueen and Nicole Miller. She even made a special appearance (sans intense makeup and clothes) in a feature dedicated to Balmain designer Olivier Rousteing. For that photo, RiRi is posing with supermodels Naomi Campbell and Iman, further proving to everyone that she has indeed made it in the fashion industry.
We don’t know about you, but we think that Rihanna was the perfect choice for a magazine such as W. The glossy is known for it high-fashion and sometimes controversial photos, and we really can’t think of a person who fits that bill better than Rihanna.
