To those of you who feel as though your eyes may glaze over if you read about another much-hyped BB cream: you may want to grab a drink. But bear with us!
It was with a somewhat BB-jaded worldview that we began testing Amarte’s Natural Finish BB Cream Tint. But in the end? We think you’ll be hearing a lot more about this Korean brand in the months to come. After being introduced to the brand thanks to the divine Beauty Huile, how could we ever have doubted its fabulousness?
We tested their BB cream in the “Light” shade (it’s also available in the darker “Natural), a perfect match for our fair, NC15 skin. Formulated with argan and macadamia oils, as well as shea butter and caviar extract, this buttery cream glides on for medium coverage, leaving skin plumped and healthy-looking. It boasts a satin finish, neither dewy nor matte. Lasting power is good, usually six to eight hours before we notice fading. Our only gripe? A somewhat perfumey scent, which mercifully fades within minutes of application, and is balanced out by the generous broad spectrum SPF 36 protection.
The bottom line: one of the most divine BBs we’ve tried to date, and not one to be overlooked. Get on this one now.
