We might refer to her as America’s Sweetheart, but in the latest issue of Glamour, Reese Witherspoon looks anything but sweet.
Witherspoon graces the cover of the January issue, giving off a sultry stare while wearing a Narciso Rodriguez dress, Dior cuff and Ruifier ring. Her blue eyes pop, while her blonde hair is vibrant. Speaking of her hair, Witherspoon joked that she has no idea what her natural hair color is. “Who knows! I haven’t seen my real hair color since I was 16. I’m Southern, honey. We don’t like our natural hair.”
The 38-year-old “Wild” actress also opened up about more serious issues like her husband, her children and how she got through very difficult times in her life, such as her divorce from fellow actor Ryan Pillippe. “I am so, so lucky to have girlfriends who, when I was on the floor crying, upset about things that happened in my life, came over, stood me up, put me in the shower, put my clothes on, took my kids to school, brought me dinner. You know? I love my girlfriends, and I protect those relationships fiercely,” she said.
Throughout the spread, we see Witherspoon rocking designers like J. Mendel, Mugler, Uribe and Ruifier. And again, that whole America’s Sweetheart thing? Yeah, it definitely doesn’t resonate with this woman. “I certainly didn’t self-identify as anyone’s sweetheart. I’m friendly, but I don’t think I’m sweet.
