While GQ‘s male-driven content is usually reserved for, well, men, us ladies can’t help but be dazzled by the covers they seem to produce.  And the April issue is no exception. The magazine put out three separate covers featuring well-known dressers Pharrell and Liam Neeson. The editors also decided to go with someone a bit new to the menswear game: Game of Thrones star Kit Harington.

Though he did win two Olivier Awards for  his role in War Horse on the London stage, Harington was relatively unknown in the states before landing the role of Jon Snow (or “Snuhh,” depending on who you’re talking to) in Game of Thrones. And with the next season of Game of Thrones  set to premiere in April, GQ couldn’t have timed the cover better. Plus,  just a few days ago, it was announced that Harington will star in Jimmy Choo’s Fall ’14 campaign and was named the face of Jimmy Choo Man, the label’s debut men’s fragrance.

We have to give props to GQ for embracing Harington’s edgier, devil-may-care persona, donning him in a Saint Laurent leather moto jacket, AA white tee and Dior Homme black jeans, rather than the traditional shirt and tie. In fact, the entire spread, shot by Paola Kudacki, is titled “How to Dress Like a Tough Bastard, with Kit Harington,” and features the actor in nearly all black, grungier pieces (with a hefty price tag, of course).

It seems like high-end grunge is definitely something that suits the scruffy-faced actor, so it will be interesting to see if Jimmy Choo pursues the same type of theme for their campaign.  But even if the brand decides to style Harington in something a bit more formal, we have a feeling he’s going to look just as swoon-worthy. Head over to GQ to see all the photos of Kit!
