By being enrolled in modelling classes by her “granny,” Caitlyn Lomax got her start in modeling at a young age. This week’s Model to Watch was born in Townsville, Queensland and grew up in Bunbury, WA (Western Australia).
In 2011, the Lomax was signed with IMG Models. Soon after, she was debuted at the Chanel Couture Spring 2012 show in July 2011. That’s right. She was debuted at Chanel Couture. Most models only dream of appearing in a show of that caliber. Not long after, she appeared in Prada’s Resort 2012 look book, adding to her short yet impressive resume.
In late 2011, things took off for Caitlin. She was seen on the Spring 2012 runways of (get ready) 3.1 Phillip Lim, Topshop Unique, Prada, Alberta Ferretti, Louis Vuitton, and Miu Miu in New York, London, Milan, and Paris. Take a breath. For a newcomer only signed to an agency for not even a year, that’s quite an accomplishment, nevemind – that’s downright astounding.
Our favorite work by Caitlin would have to be her editorial for Elle Ukraine. Filled with fun colors, props, and ensembles, the work shows versatility of Caitlin as a talent. She’s clearly proven herself on the runway, but now she’s shown she can conquer a magazine spread with ease.
There’s no denying that Lomax is stunning in any form. To prove this point, she had a brief fling with a pixie cut towards the end of 2012. The hair style escalated her editorial appeal. We really favor this cut on her. Take a look at it in this editorial is from The Perfect Guide, titled, “Modernism and Optimism.”
Stunning, right? She’s such a strong model, she can dominate any look given to her. She’s great at her job and we’re happy to help push her to the forefront. You can keep up with Caitlin Lomax on twitter at @caitlin_lomax, and see more of her portfolio here.
