It should come as no surprise that Miley Cyrus, an active Marc Jacobs advocate and consumer, was chosen by Mr. Jacobs as the new face of his spring campaign. The starlet has been highly involved with Marc Jacobs this year, including her adornment of the designer’s clothes at both the Met Ball and the Fashion Group International’s Night of Stars. She is currently still being featured in the ongoing “Love the Skin You’re In” campaign which has Cyrus posing nude. All of the proceeds from the shirt sales are donated to the NYU Skin Cancer Institute, which can be purchased on the Marc Jacobs website for $35.
Cyrus, who is featured on a dark, sandy beach, brings all of her moodiest looks to the campaign as she stuns in a ringleader-esque navy jacket with black detailing, deep plum colored shorts with navy detailing, and black sneakers with a white floral design. Her glossy hair and radiant makeup have the starlet looking particularly gorgeous. She is shown in the ad with Natalie Westling and Esmerelda Seay Reynolds, both models. The ad was shot by renowned fashion photographer David Sims and styling was done by famous fashion editor and stylist Katie Grand.
Cyrus posted a photo on Twitter of herself wearing one of Marc Jacobs’ marriage equality shirts from 2009, prior to posting two photos from the spring campaign. The word is out that she has also enlisted Jacobs and designers Jeremy Scott, The Blonds, and Bob Mackie to create the outfits for her up and coming Bangerz world tour.
Miley Cyrus grabbed the world by the tongue last year and has already made a splash in the very short span of 2014. Undoubtedly, her “Smilers” will be in no short supply of Cyrus in the coming year. As the twerking queen stated on Twitter herself, “Yo 2014! If you ain’t scuuuurd of me just ask 2013 what’s up.”
