Surprisingly enough, this was Michelle Williams’ first major fashion campaign. Can you believe it? We sure can’t. With a brief stint at Band of Outsiders for SS 2012, Louis Vuitton is a whole other league… perhaps even a whole other sport.
This amazingly stunning actress has starred in memorable films of our time such as Brokeback Mountain, My Week with Marilyn and Blue Valentine. – But, really, who can forget her in Dawson’s Creek? Now, this mega talent is set out to be the face of the new Fall 2014 Louis Vuitton campaign. If you fell in love just by watching the backstage outtakes reel above, you’ll surely fall head over heels for the full campaign.
While her tousled hair and dewy skin always look effortless, we can assure you that it took an army of hair stylists, make-up artists, and professional photographers to capture these perfect shots. With some high-fashion help from hairstylist, Sam McKnight, and make-up by Stephane Marais the look for the Autumn/Winter campaign is something to be envious of. Dark brows and dark lips, of course. What says Fall fashion more than bold, dark, and heavy make-up? However, Williams is a natural beauty and undoubtedly that is what shines through the most.
The actress modeled (or should we say flaunted) the French fashion house’s latest handbags, the W and the Capucines, while taking direction from the famous Vogue photographer on set, Peter Lindbergh. Pouting, smiling, posing, Williams makes the experience seem almost too good to be true. Who wouldn’t want to model for the day with some of chic, new Vuitton accessories?
Despite the giggles however, Michelle Williams discusses her role as Marilyn Monroe and her career in general, revealing just how seriously she takes on all her characters in the time leading up to a film. Currently, Williams is filming Suite Francaise,, based on the novel by Irene Nemirovsky. The tale follows a romance between a French villager and a German soldier during the early years of the German occupation in France. A must-see? We think so.
What a true inspiration and hard worker. She does phenomenally in both her acting career and in nailing this shoot. Who could be better for this?
