It is no surprise that over here at Haute Talk we love Topshop and any and all collaborations they may have. A while back we wrote about how excited we are that Kate Moss is coming back to team up with the store and now we have more exciting news: Meadham Kirchhoff is coming back too!
While the Kate Moss line doesn’t hit stores until next year, the Meadham Kirchhoff line will hit stores this month. So we won’t have to wait as long to indulge in some new clothes just in time for the holidays. The last time the designers Edward Meadham and Benjamin Kirchhoff teamed up with Topshop, back in 2010, the line went over pretty well. However, it was painfully small. This time around? The line is going to feature 80 pieces inspired by a fictional girlband The Cherrys. Think glam rock and Marilyn Manson meets high street. Are you drooling yet? Because we certainly are.
Although they do well at London Fashion week with their theatrical shows, Meadham and Kirchhoff still fly pretty far under the global radar. Their last Topshop collaboration really helped them in the US though, bringing them to Nordstrom and seeing their clothes popping up in other places. With a much bigger line this time, they could see even more success. We hope to see more of them in the mainstream market. Their clothes are quirky and edgy and fun, and we are all about that.
There aren’t any previews of the pieces yet, but hopefully that will come soon. We have thrown in a few of their pieces from this year’s fashion week that we hope they will take some inspiration from. We are hoping for lots of lace and peter pan collars and edgy blazers.
What are you looking forward to with Meadham Kirchhoff for Topshop?
