Today we’re back with another installment of Miss Ladyfinger‘s Manicure Muse runway nail art series. The inspiration? Raf Simon’s graphic-yet-classic pieces from the Dior fall runway.

Raf Simons is just two seasons deep in his acquired reign over the House of Dior and already evolving the brand with masterpiece collections. What was once extravagance and drama to John Galliano, is now sleekness and refined luxury to Raf Simons. For Fall ’13, the result was iconic shapes modernized in with sharp contrasts. The placed Andy Warhol portrait and shoe illustrations were less exciting to me than the Surrealism motifs, but the two elements together created an offbeat feel.

To emulate this look, I used Porcelain Party by Maybelline Color Show and Black Out by Sally Hansen.

To get these Ladyfingers:

1. Start with a full white nail

2. Create a black stripe down the center of the nail

3. Create little ‘J’ shapes going connecting to one side of the black stripe

4. Create little ‘J’ shapes going the opposite direction on the other side of the black stripe

5. Top it off with top coat
