Lady Gaga is back in the spotlight, and we are certainly not going to complain about it.
Since the release of her highly anticipated single, Applause, Gaga’s Little Monsters have been going berserk over her performances and upcoming albums. Gaga went in a completely different creative direction in her ARTPOP artwork (but still signature Gaga), which we absolutely loved. But in this fashion shoot for Elle’s October 2013 issue, Gaga really shows a side of herself that we don’t often get to witness – a side that is more vulnerable and purely artistic.
Shot by fashion photographer Ruth Hogben and styled in Open Ceremony, Chanel, Marc Jacobs, and more, Gaga wows us in these shots that seemingly give us a peak into the life of a pop star and fashionista. The shots are often framed by the surrounding architecture, such as our favorite shot of Gaga dancing with an abstract drawing behind her, framed by the gorgeous architecture of the circular building and floor-to-ceiling windows. All of the shots actually do feel like a peak into her life; we’re looking at reflections of the pop star or given reflective shots through the window. They are all shots that remind us that Gaga is a defining cultural icon of our generation. Check out the rest of her fashion shoot below.
