Kate Upton’s British Vogue cover is everything right now.
The 24-year-old bombshell looks gorgeous in the June issue of the magazine. She’s sitting in the sand, wearing an amazing Dolce & Gabbana two-piece with minimal makeup. Beach chic is definitely the only way to describe her. The image was shot by Mario Testino, who also shot Upton for American Vogue back in 2013.
Once we got past the stunning photo, we read Upton’s interview with British Vogue’s contributing editor, Alexa Chung. Upton opened up to Chung about the struggles she’s faced in fashion and surprisingly, it has nothing to do with the designers. “It’s weird that in the press they’ll be like, your biggest fight was with the industry and the designers, and I’m like, no, my biggest fight was with my agents, trying to get them to sign me into the castings,” she said. “I thought, how I’m going to come out of this will be an example for girls.”
Upton also revealed how flattered she is to be compared to the iconic Marilyn Monroe practically every time she steps on a red carpet, but she definitely doesn’t think they’re exactly alike. “I feel like nowadays it’s easy to be genuine and show your personality, whereas I don’t think Marilyn had that opportunity. And clearly she had a dark side, and I don’t have that.”
