And now for the most exciting news of the day: Kate Middleton is pregnant!
That’s right, the palace has confirmed that the Royal Family is expecting baby number two! The Clarence House tweeted out the happy news early Monday morning:
The Queen and members of both families are delighted with the news that Their Royal Highnesses are expecting their second child

According to the palace, the Duchess of Cambridge is in the very early stages of her pregnancy and due to severe morning sickness, will not be able to join Prince William in Oxford on Monday for a planned event. “As with her first pregnancy, The Duchess is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Her Royal Highness will no longer accompany The Duke of Cambridge on their planned engagement in Oxford today. The Duchess of Cambridge is being treated by doctors at Kensington Palace.”
We’re absolutely thrilled for the Royal Family, who can now expect to be followed now more than ever by the paparazzi as we eagerly await for the arrival of the new Prince or Princess. Kate gave birth to Prince George just a little over a year ago on July 22, 2013, now as he goes into his toddler years, he will become a big brother!
In case you were wondering, this new bundle of joy will be the fourth in line for the throne. As of right now, Prince Charles is next, followed by Prince William then Prince George. Regardless of the baby’s sex, it will indeed push its uncle Prince Harry down the line to fifth. But we’re sure that’s the last thing on the Royal Family’s mind right now.
We wish Kate, William and George all the best!
