Kate Bosworth is something of a music festival style star. Is it just our imagination, or does scarcely a summer weekend go by without photos surfacing of Kate in cutoffs and suede booties (Acne, no doubt), beachy locks a-flowing? Now Topshop have tapped that easy cool for their upcoming, still-enigmatic summer festival project.
Though murmurings about the pairing started as early as last December, Kate (pictured above in a laser-cut ensemble from the line) just recently dished about the collaboration to Vogue UK at Coachella. “The design team and I thought a lot about the festival season, and, particularly with this collection, a lot of it was about the California girl,” said Bosworth. “Obviously the perfect place to wear it was Coachella.”
Unlike Topshop’s collaborations with another fashionable Kate, Bosworth didn’t design the line herself, instead offering creative input as a “friend of the brand.” The as-yet-unnamed project promises a “360 degree campaign that involves music, clothes, film, journeys and the attitude and energy of British festivals.”
The U.K. favorite are set to release more details about the project later this year.
