Dutch supermodel Imaan Hammam has proven to be a heavy hitter both on and off the runway recently. The beauty will be making an appearance in next year’s Fall and Winter designs at New York Fashion Week. Thedailybeast.com has included her as one of the eight models to watch over the weekend. The newly successful model has already been featured in two Vogue editorials, and has graced the runways of Calvin Klein, Givenchy, and Top Shop. Her recent success began last Summer when she strutted on the catwalk at the Jean-Paul Gaultier Couture show in Paris. Bookings director at Vogue UK, Helena Suric, has said that Hammam is “observant, unself-conscious, a rare type of model who can step effortlessly into whichever character a story requires.”
The seventeen-year-old has made quite a splash, particularly with her amazingly full hair. Vogue was so obsessed that they wrote an article about it, which we can’t even hold against them. Her dark-brown locks are almost always in a natural, permanent blow-out, which further add to her already glowing features. Being of Egyptian and Moroccan heritage has her in the right genetics for awesome, statement making hair, but the she still makes an effort to treat her hair with care. In her interview with American Vogue, she revealed argon oil and Aunt Jackie’s Curl La La Defining Curl Custard as a few of her best kept hair health secrets. Hammam is signed with Code Model Management in her Netherland hometown, Amsterdam, and also represented by Viva Models in Paris and London.
