So one our favorite fashionistas and Brits is celebrating her birthday today. It’s Kate Middleton, of course, and we can’t get enough of her amazing sense of style (and we can’t wait to see little George in some painfully adorable outfits, too!). She’s one of those people who looks good in practically any outfit (so unfair), so choosing our favorite ensembles of hers is basically like picking your favorite child, but we’re going to make the attempt anyway.

1. Tartan Alexander McQueen

Kate Middleton wore this on Christmas Day just a few weeks ago, and we can’t get enough of it. The plaid is the perfect amount of holiday festive without going overboard, and we love the structured shoulders and collar combined with the flowing pleats at the knee.

2. Temperley London

Here’s another structured coat she wore, this one on Remembrance Day (hence the solemn face). It features a high neck and inset ribbed satin diamond panels to give the front (and also along the hem in the back) some detail, of which we are big fans.

3. Burberry

You definitely can’t go wrong with wearing a Burberry coat in London — it’s a classic — but this one that the Duchess of Cambridge wore to an engagement takes a new spin on the traditional trench coat. It has the buckles, big collar and shoulder detail just like the classic models, but the one Kate Middleton donned has a small bit of flare at the bottom that makes it more feminine and fun.

4. Alexander McQueen Navy

So this might be the second Alexander McQueen coat on here, but they’re so cute so what are we supposed to do about it? This double-breasted coat hugs Kate Middleton’s figure and is a little more sleek and simple.

5. Max Mara

Kate Middleton wore this Max Mara coat to the Cambridge Senate House, and we are in love. The super slight touch of pink to the beige in this one makes it just a little different, and we loved seeing a coat on the Duchess that wasn’t covered in buttons and flair.

Which is your favorite Kate Middleton look?
