Gwyneth Paltrow is one actress people love to hate. Perhaps it’s because she makes it so painstakingly obvious that she’s rich, or maybe it’s because she makes it seem like healthy eating is something that is SO easy, when in reality it’s REAL hard. Regardless if you love or hate her (or like we said earlier, love to hate her), it’s hard to deny how frickin’ fabulous she looks on the cover of Marie Claire.
Paltrow looks incredibly radiant (albeit a little air brushed) on the February issue. She’s donning a matching Mugler top and skirt, Maya Brenner ball stud earrings, Jennifer Zeuner rings, sleek blonde hair and her gorgeous blue eyes. Inside the glossy, the 42-year-old actress looks just as stunning, wearing black pants and a crop top. And while the fashion is wow worthy, it’s the interview that has us with our jaws on the floor.
Paltrow and ex-husband Chris Martin have gone through a very public separation, but apparently, it wasn’t very dramatic for the couple. “There was nothing dramatic or anything. I had built my life on trying to be all things to all people, and I just couldn’t do it anymore, and I really had the sense that I wasn’t allowed to have needs, and I had to prove my specialness or self-worth by doing all this stuff and taking care of everybody else, and I just sort of hit a wall.”
A little shade we sense, but apparently, she and Martin was better than ever! “We’ve worked really fucking hard to get to [this] point. But we’re very, very close, and it’s so nice. I feel like it’s, in a way, the relationship we were meant to have.”
Well that’s definitely good to hear! Paltrow seems to be doing great, especially with her lifestyle website the GOOP — even though she doesn’t get a lot of support for it from the media. “I know what I want to do, and I’m going to do it. I don’t care so much about the men, but I wish that women were slightly more understanding of other women. A lot of women reporters try to pit me against other women doing entrepreneurial things. There’s room for everybody.”
