We’re online all day… like all day every day. That’s our job. So, we always appreciate things like strong writing skills, pretty images and a nice website design — hey, what can we say? We’re a bit geeky. That could explain why we’re just so, so thrilled to see Fashionistas new website makeover!

Fashionista is one of our favorite sites and it’s writers have always been on top of fashion and beauty news, so when they announced yesterday that they had some work done, we were pleasantly surprised. Lauren Indvik, the site’s editor-in-chief, said that the redesign was necessary as the content evolves. “Fashionista has evolved a great deal since its founding six years ago, and developing a design that would reflect those changes — and the changes in online media consumption that have occurred in that time frame — was a fun and challenging project,” she wrote.

On top of a completely new format, Fashionista also received a new logo, spot color, fonts and bigger images. The site has more of a Tumblr-vibe to it right now, which allows the latest stories to be front and center and definitely “clickable.” The benefits you see on your computer will also come through on your tablet. Indvik said that was a vital part of mixing things up. “Nearly half of you now primarily read Fashionista on your tablets and mobile devices, and creating an experience that was optimal for smaller screens was a top priority. We hope you enjoy our new, faster mobile site, and the bigger images and streamlined navigation that are a part of it.”

We can’t see what else the site has in store for itself. Head over to see the new look and join us as we wish Fashionista the best of luck!
