The July Vanity Fair cover, photographed by Annie Leibovitz, featured an unfamiliar, but stunning woman. Wearing a simple white corset and her heart on her sleeve, Caitlyn Jenner (formerly known as Bruce) stunningly introduced herself to the world for the first time.

With a stylish and trendy family ranging from the bold Kim Kardashian to the trendy Kylie Jenner, I think we are all wondering the same thing: What is Caitlyn’s style going to be and will it be anything like her family’s?

Luckily, Vanity Fair interviewed the stylist for the Caitlyn’s shoot, Jessica Diehl, to get some insider details.

Because the unveiling of Bruce’s transformation to Caitlyn was so top secret, Diehl was unable to call big designers and rent clothing. This secrecy and time crunch clearly did not negatively impact the shoot — have you seen those outfits?! Fabulous!

“For this, I had to go into stores incognito, so to speak—not like anyone would know what I looked like anyway—and buy stuff. That was actually what was fun. It was like Vanity Fair: Off the Rack.” she tells VF Hollywood.

Caitlyn has expressed a very all-American style and tends to lean towards more classic silhouettes. Diehl explains that Caitlyn gravitates to a more classy and elegant style than her family, but she’s only just beginning to find her voice in the woman’s world of fashion.

Although Caitlyn is certainly elegant, it’s clear to say that she is not afraid to be a little bit sexy. From the very fitted cherry red dress to the nude and black lace corset, Jenner showed off her incredible figure like a true star. Meeeow!

When asked about this iconic cover that will surely go down in celebrity history, Diehl explains to VF Hollywood that the cover “was not meant to be risqué in any way. It was really meant to sort of show with all honesty and purity.” She also mentions that the fittings took hours and only two garments were totally ruled out. Caitlyn Jenner had the best kind of problem–everything looked good on her.

So far in terms of knowing how to dress for her body and wear fashionable pieces, it seems Caitlyn fits right in with her incredibly stylish family! We are super excited to see more of Caitlyn Jenner’s style. What will her street style be? Red carpet style? Her go-to look?!
