Alright, so Ali Michael isn’t the newcomer we usually cover, but her name isn’t quite the household name, either… yet. The model had her first season in 2007, while in high school. She’s taken great leaps as a model and talent. Let’s see what she’s been up to lately.

1. She signed with DNA models in 2006 and appeared in ELLE Italia — all before before completing high school.
At only 15 years old, the youngster took a fast flight to appear in a spread of one of the biggest fashion magazines around. This decision put modeling on the forefront. With a semester left of high school, Ali decided to walk away and put all her efforts into modeling.
2. Just one year later, she walked the runway in New York, Paris, and London.
Let’s not stop there. She didn’t just walk. She opened for 3.1 Phillip Lim and Alice Roi in New York. Add Marc by Marc Jacobs, Lanvin, Chanel, Christian Dior, and Karl Lagerfeld to the list, too. I’m sorry, but in the name of all that is Fashion — those are some powerhouses that she dominated in only her first year as a model. Unreal.
3. In February 2008, she was sent home from Paris Fashion Week after being told that her legs were “too plump.”
What? That’s something I’d think only happened in the deepest depths of The Devil Wears Prada outtakes. This also happened after she struggled with an eating disorder. It’s 2013 and we’re still infuriated by this.
4. Later that year, she made a come back and showed ’em who’s boss.
In September, she walked for the spring Fashion Weeks in London, Milan and Paris. She walked in… (get ready for it)… Lacoste, ADAM, Matthew Williamson, Marc Jacobs, Max Azria, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Doo.Ri, Paul Smith, Luella, Louise Goldin, Aquascutum, House of Holland, Burberry Prorsum, Iceberg, Fendi, Bruno Pieters, Christian Dior, Balenciaga, Sonia Rykiel, Karl Lagerfeld, Akris, Celine and John Galliano. Ladies and gentlemen, that’s how you make a comeback.
5. She’s now signed with IMG.
In recent years, she’s been playing the editorial field. In 2010 she was photographed for the spring issue of Lula Magazine and appeared in another ELLE Italia spread. 2012 brought her to the pages of ELLE again with a spread shot by the renowned Bruno Staub.
